Sighing with a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips. Uryuu rested his head back into the pillows of his bed. Ichigo really enjoyed kissing him – any part of him that his lips could touch – and Uryuu didn’t mind at all. The redhead’s lips were currently at his collarbone. Ichigo moving his head from side to side so that his lips continually brushed against the smooth pale skin his nose gently tickling the Quincy’s neck. “Mmm,” Uryuu let out a small sound of contentment as Ichigo ran his hand across his bare chest before pulling the covers over both of them. Grinning the redhead brought his hand up to stroke the dark hair with his left hand. “Ichigo,” the Quincy murmured smiling despite himself and turning his face to place a gentle kiss against the other boy’s palm. “I’m not a cat any more. I haven’t been for months.”“That doesn’t make this any less fun,” Ichigo whispered back pressing his lips to Uryuu’s. The dark-haired boy returned the kiss encouraging Ichigo to kiss him harder until he rolled onto Uryuu with a smirk.“Again?” Large rough hands slid around Uryuu’s sides as Ichigo kissed his neck and the Quincy let out a small laugh.“No. Not tonight. We have school tomorrow…” he trailed off with a soft moan as Ichigo’s teeth sank into his neck. “…No. Ichigo… just wait a day. Just one more day until the weekend and then you can do whatever—”“Uryuu…” Ichigo whined pulling away to look into the other boy’s eyes. Holding the gaze for as long as he could. Uryuu looked away with mix of frustration and amusement. “Like I can say no when you look at me like that. Damn puppy eyes.”Chuckling as the blanket covering them was pulled away. Ichigo placed a quick kiss on Uryuu’s lips. “Yeah well don’t pretend you don’t like it.”
“Hurry up would you?” Ichigo nudged him forward. “We’ll be late for school and it’ll be your fault for once.”Uryuu frowned swatting Ichigo’s hand off his shoulder. “No it’d still be your fault. You’re the one who insisted on having sex twice. It’s your fault that I’m sore all over.” “I could give you a massage if you’d like,” Ichigo murmured his mouth at Uryuu’s ear and his hands sliding down the Quincy’s sides. “And I know you’d like that…”Groaning quietly. Uryuu pushed Ichigo’s hands away and picked up his bag heading for the door. “Tempting but we really do need to get going.”“When we get home?” the redhead asked pressing his lips against the other boy’s. Sighing and giving him a small smile. Uryuu returned the kiss before opening the door. “Of course.”
Ichigo hadn’t quite moved in with Uryuu. Five months into their relationship. Uryuu had suggested that Ichigo stay the night when they had lost track of time during a study session. It had been innocent enough then; they had pulled out some blankets and slept huddled together on the floor. They had enjoyed being so close to one another even when they were sleeping but knew that if Ichigo was going to stay over frequently their backs wouldn’t be able to handle constantly sleeping on the hardwood floor with a thin blanket beneath them. So Uryuu had invited Ichigo into his bed. They only survived half a month of resisting the urge to reach across pull each other in for a kiss and not intend to let go. It had surprised Ichigo when Uryuu had been the one to take the initiative. It hadn’t surprised Uryuu when Ichigo responded with enthusiasm.
They didn’t take any precautions at school to make sure that their classmates didn’t know that Ichigo spent most of his nights at Uryuu’s flat. This had surprised Ichigo to begin with as well; but when Uryuu had turned to him and told him that he was comfortable with what they were doing. Ichigo realised that he was too. To an extent. “Ichigoooo~!” Keigo greeted the redhead with an attempted tackle as they entered the classroom. The Vaizard pushed him off as per usual and Mizuiro was already picking him back up. “Let’s hang out this afternoon!” Ichigo’s response was delayed by a few seconds as he thought of an excuse. “Can’t. Sorry. I have to study. I’m falling behind in class.”“Liar!” Keigo pointed an accusing finger at his friend. “You always skip our quality time to study! You can’t be behind! Are your marks more important than your friends?!”Ichigo flinched at these words. Uryuu had already made his way to his own desk but was listening in on the conversation and noticed the movement. He sighed sinking into his chair as he listened to Ichigo find a way out of spending time with Keigo and Mizuiro after school. The look in Uryuu’s eyes when the two of them stayed behind in the classroom during their break told Ichigo that they were going to have a Talk. He hesitated before moving closer. He couldn’t remember doing anything wrong even for Uryuu’s extremely high standards. Noticing this. Uryuu reached out towards him to show that he wasn’t in trouble. Grinning with relief. Ichigo stepped closer and held the other boy’s face in his hands giving him a long kiss. “Ichigo,” Uryuu murmured pulling away and placing his hands on the redhead’s shoulders. Ichigo watched him patiently and he sighed. “Look. You can spend time with your friends as well you know. We really don’t need to spend every moment together.”Grinning the Vaizard stroked his hair. “You trying to get rid of me?”“Hardly.” Uryuu’s grip on Ichigo’s shoulders tightened to prove his point. “But I’m willing to share you. I know that it’d make you feel better if you weren’t lying to your friends too. Go and spend time with them today after school. Take however long you want. I’ll wait up for you.”“Thank you,” Ichigo murmured kissing him hard. “Don’t wait for permission next time,” Uryuu laughed softly.“I’ll make it up to you tonight. I promise.”Purring as he was kissed again. Uryuu smiled. “I have no doubt about it.”
It was eight at night and Uryuu was sitting alone at his desk. Ichigo had left with his friends after school – over four hours ago. He shrugged reminding himself that it had been a while since Ichigo had actually gone out with his friends. They probably needed some time to catch up. Uryuu had finished his homework already and was now eating dinner. He had hoped the book would last him long enough to keep him occupied until Ichigo returned but there were only a few pages left. He vaguely wondered if Ichigo had eaten anything yet deciding that he should probably leave some food in case Ichigo hadn’t. The last few pages of the novel seemed to go by in mere seconds. Uryuu put the book down and let out a frustrated sigh. He couldn’t even remember half of the story any more. “What is this. Uryuu?” he muttered to himself rising to his feet and carrying his empty bowl to the kitchen sink. “Separation anxiety? He has his own life. Leave him be.”As though to mock his words his left hand unconsciously reached out for Ichigo’s reiraku. His eyes snapped to the red thread when he noticed the distinct lack of Keigo or Mizuiro’s threads anywhere near it. And then widened when he saw another red thread – Urahara’s. “What the hell is he doing—?” he turned to the clock on the wall to check the time – it was almost eight thirty. He pulled on the reiraku in his hand ready to put his shoes on and go out in search of Ichigo when he felt the familiar reiatsu coming closer to the flat. If he blocked out the immense pressure of Ichigo’s reiatsu he could detect Urahara with him as well. Uryuu frowned. Why was Ichigo bringing Urahara to the flat? He turned to the door when he could sense Ichigo and Urahara on the other side of it and moved forward when the doorbell rang. And then. Urahara’s reiatsu grew weak. He was leaving. “Stupid strange Shinigami,” Uryuu muttered to himself opening the door. “Ichigo you’d better—”He fell silent as he noticed that despite the extremely loud and heavy reiatsu telling him that Ichigo was standing right in front of the door he couldn’t see anyone. “Ichigo?” he called frowning and looking from side to side. “Kurosaki? There’s no point in hiding if you can’t control that damn reiatsu you know—”And then he heard something that made his heart skip a beat. A quiet whine. A dog’s whine. Uryuu’s widened blue eyes slowly moved down coming to a rest on the puppy sitting at his feet. It was small. Cute. It was a German Shepherd its fur black and orange. Its ears were pinned back as it watched Uryuu carefully with big brown eyes. “I-Ichigo?” he choked holding onto the doorframe for support. It whined again its tail wagging a little. “Oh fuck.”
The puppy was struggling in his arms as he travelled across the half-asleep town with his Hirenkyaku heading straight to Urahara Shouten. His grip tightened around the small animal and he hissed as he felt short sharp claws digging into his arms. “We’re almost there shut up and stay still,” he muttered coming to an abrupt halt in front of the store. The dog yelped with fright. “Urahara-san!” Uryuu yelled as he knocked on the door. The lights were already turned on. He wouldn’t have been surprised if Urahara had been waiting for him to come. It was Tessai who answered the door ushering both the Quincy and the dog inside without looking surprised. There were already three cups of green tea on the table. And a bowl of water on the floor. “Ishida-san. Kurosaki-san how nice of you to drop by at such a late hour!” Urahara greeted them in his usual friendly tone of feigned ignorance.“Explain this,” Uryuu demanded indicating Ichigo who was lapping from the bowl. “He went out with friends and he came home as a dog. What did you do?”Urahara’s eyes widened at the accusation. “Me? I did nothing! He paid a visit to my store earlier to pick up… ah something he had requested. You do remember doing the very same thing not more than nine months ago don’t you?”Kneeling at the table and taking a long sip of green tea. Uryuu sighed. “Did Ururu-san pour the wrong drink again?” “Ah it wasn’t Ururu-chan’s fault at all this time!” Urahara replied cheerfully. “See. I had some potions lying about that I was working on. Kurosaki-san ah… forgot to ask before taking a sip of… well it wasn’t water.” “…It was his own stupid fault,” Uryuu concluded sounding resigned. Ichigo stopped drinking water and whimpered giving the Quincy a sorrowful look. “Don’t look at me like that,” the dark-haired boy snapped folding his arms across his chest. “It isn’t my fault that you’re dumb enough to drink strange things without even checking to see what they were. Here of all places too! Just be glad you’re not dead.”Urahara watched them with mild amusement. “No need to worry. Ishida-san. All of the lethal potions are safely locked away.” Uryuu looked up and shuddered at the thought. “What was he here for in the first place?” Ichigo barked and Uryuu jumped almost spilling tea on himself. He glared at the puppy but it was looking at Urahara instead.“I’m afraid I can’t tell you that,” Urahara replied with a small nod in Ichigo’s direction. “Customer confidentiality. I’m sure you understand.” Giving the two of them mistrustful glances. Uryuu slowly rose to his feet. “When will you have the antidote?”“It’ll take me a week. Just as long as it did for yours. I hadn’t foreseen this – otherwise I would have made your antidote work for any kind of animal not just cats.”“I have to take care of… that for a week?” Uryuu asked raising his eyebrows. “I don’t even know the first thing about dogs.”“I doubt Kurosaki-kun knew very much about cats either,” the shopkeeper replied his tone conversational as always. Uryuu fell silent turning to the puppy. It was sitting on the floor and watching him with a careful – perhaps hurt – expression in its large brown eyes. “Come here,” he muttered leaning over and gathering the puppy in his arms. “I’ll take care of him. Let me know when you have the antidote alright?” “Of course. Also you might want to take that bag on your way out – it’s Kurosaki-san’s school bag. I’ve put his uniform inside as well. If you’re going to let him roam around outside on his own you could invest in a collar too. I’ll sell you one with its own built-in Hollow detector if you’d like!”“Just give me the collar without the detector,” Uryuu replied with a frown tapping the side of his head. “I already have one of those.” After Urahara had given them everything. Tessai led them outside again. Uryuu put Ichigo down fixing the collar around his neck. “Come on pup. We’ll walk home. You don’t like Hirenkyaku.” Wagging his tail. Ichigo followed the Quincy. Uryuu kept a careful eye on him for the first few blocks but relaxed as he saw that Ichigo was staying by his side. “I’m going to bed,” Uryuu informed him as they walked into the flat. “Don’t for the sake of my sanity bark during the night or I will send you outside.”Ichigo padded softly across the hardwood floor as Uryuu walked into his room puling out an old blanket and folding it thrice before placing it in the lounge room. “You’re sleeping here. I’m not going to let you sleep in the bed or else it’ll smell of dog all week.”Ichigo looked at him and whined. Uryuu scowled in response. “I said no. Now let me get to sleep.”Following him. Ichigo climbed onto Uryuu’s bed and sat on it. “Ichigo!” he scolded lifting Ichigo off the bed. “I’m not kidding. I will send you outside.”The puppy gave him one last forlorn look before walking out of the room and settling down on the blanket that had been left for him. Uryuu watched him leave before lying down in his bed and pulling the covers over his head. “I don’t even like dogs that much.”The bed felt empty without Ichigo. Uryuu frowned to himself as he curled into a ball on his side and tucked his head beneath his arms. It was easier back when he was the one that had managed to get himself turned into a cat. It didn’t matter. There wasn’t anyone who missed him the way he was already missing Ichigo. He knew that it would be different now even if he had been turned into a cat again but he still couldn’t stop thinking about it. A small amused smile tugged at the corners of his lips as he thought of Ichigo and how awkward he had been when dealing with a kitten. Uryuu thought of the look on Ichigo’s face after the first time he had been licked and had to stifle the small laugh that escaped his throat. Urahara had been right he thought to himself. Ichigo hadn’t really known how to deal with him when he had been turned into a cat. But he had done a pretty decent job of it regardless. He knew how confusing it was to be a small four-legged animal instead of human – he should be sympathising with Ichigo making it a little less stressful. He sighed quietly. He was being a little too harsh with Ichigo. He could save telling him off until he was human again – for now he just had to take care of the dog. He was drifting off to sleep to thoughts of taking Ichigo out for a walk when he heard Ichigo whining. Throwing the covers back he sat up and put his glasses on. Ichigo was sitting in the doorway his head lowered and his ears pinned back. “Ichigo. It’s late go to sleep.” The puppy walked into the room wagging its tail warily. “I would throw something at you if you didn’t look so… cute. I really would,” Uryuu muttered with a sigh. The puppy pawed at Uryuu’s bed whimpering quietly. Even in the darkness. Uryuu could make out the pleading look in the big brown eyes. “Fine,” he sighed taking his glasses off and placing them on his bedside table before shifting over. “You can sleep at the end of the bed. If I wake up with a face full of your fur there’ll be trouble.” Jumping onto the mattress. Ichigo crawled over to Uryuu’s side first to give him a small lick. Smiling in spite of himself. Uryuu stroked down the puppy’s back.“Alright alright. I’m not going to kiss you back though. Good night.”
Uryuu woke up at six the next morning scowling as Ichigo pawed at him. The dog was jumping off the bed and then back up again before repeating it again. “Alright. I’m up!” the Quincy snapped pushing his hair out of his eyes and groping around for his glasses. “What do you want?” Ichigo whimpered in protest walking to the doorway and back again. Sighing. Uryuu stood up. “You want to go outside? Fine. I’ll leave the door open for you.”Standing at the kitchen counter and making his coffee. Uryuu realised that Ichigo probably needed dog food. He scowled at the thought of having to buy a week’s worth of dog food – it meant that he couldn’t buy any more material this week. But he grinned at the thought of the puppy that Ichigo had turned into. It was worth it he supposed. Even if it meant that Ichigo wouldn’t be able to sneak any food over from his family home for the week either. He wondered how the Kurosaki family would react to Ichigo not coming home all week. Uryuu couldn’t imagine his father being too concerned but his sisters would probably miss him. Perhaps Ichigo would need to spend more time at home than at Uryuu’s flat the week after being turned back into a human. It was something he’d just have to deal with. He decided that he didn’t mind. He just wanted Ichigo to be human again. His mug of coffee was almost finished when Ichigo came back through the door. Upon seeing him the puppy have him a silly grin its tongue hanging out from the side of its mouth. Uryuu tried to hide his amusement. “Give me a while to bathe and get some study done,” he said to the dog feeling slightly ridiculous for speaking to it the same way he would to Ichigo’s human form. Especially in contrast with his next words. “Then I’ll take you to the park for a walk.”Ichigo was surprisingly well-behaved as Uryuu went about his usual morning routine. The Quincy spent longer than usual in the shower taking time to plan out his day. It had been a while since he’d done so – when he spent his weekends with Ichigo in human form he knew better than to make any plans. Ichigo lived on whim and if something caught his attention he would do it even if it meant disregarding his other plans. As Uryuu did his homework. Ichigo lay at his feet licking his paws. The Quincy raised an eyebrow peering under the table and wondering if Ichigo had stepped in food. Paranoid he checked the floor for messy paw prints. Sighing in relief when he found none he continued working. By ten he had finished enough work to keep himself satisfied. He had read through his textbooks taking notes for the next week’s worth of classes for Ichigo. He already knew that sneaking Ichigo to school would be nigh impossible. It was one thing for a small well behaved cat to spend hours napping in a school bag – and another for a large puppy to be doing so. He knew Ichigo would get restless anyway. “Hey. Want to go for a walk now?” As soon as Uryuu asked the question. Ichigo’s ears perked up and he clambered out from underneath the table. Looking at him with excitement barely contained in his brown eyes the puppy wagged its tail rapidly. Uryuu grinned putting his shoes on and pushing Ichigo off his knees as the overexcited puppy tried to lick his face. “Hey stop that! I’m not going to put a leash on you okay? I’m pretty sure you know what you’re doing and you were fine last night on the way home.”The puppy barked happily already waiting for Uryuu to open the door. “Try stay next to me too,” the Quincy muttered warily. “Don’t run too far ahead. And sit at the crossing and wait for me to tell you to go before you cross. Understood?”He pushed the door open and sighed in frustration as Ichigo ran down the stairs as quickly as he could. “I said to stay with me!” he called after the dog jumping down the stairs after it. Ichigo was waiting for him outside the block of flats his tail still wagging. Uryuu found it difficult to keep the scowl on his face for more than a few seconds. They started walking and Uryuu rolled his eyes. “Come on you know the way to the park. It’s not down that road.”The puppy turned around but after a couple of minutes had begun to wander off again.“Ichigo come on,” Uryuu called impatiently. He shook his head. “I don’t know why you have to pee on every single tree we walk past. In a week it won’t even matter.”He continued walking and the puppy ran to keep up with him wagging its tail as it looked up at the Quincy. Uryuu smiled in return.“If you’re good. I’ll even buy you something to play with on the way home.”Ichigo’s tail wagged harder at these words and Uryuu chuckled. “You really can’t help acting like a dog can you? Getting excited over walks and toys. Like when I was a cat. You have no idea how much self-control it took to keep your curtains in one piece.”Ichigo yapped in excitement as they reached the park. The playground was full of children playing while their parents sat together on the benches nearby and talked. There were only three other dogs that Uryuu could see – one was leashed and walking with an old man while the other two were unleashed and bounding around together being followed by a young couple. The man and woman smiled at him as he walked past. “What a gorgeous little boy you have there!” the woman cooed bending over to scratch Ichigo’s chin. “I haven’t seen you two around before – is he new?”“Ah…” Uryuu blinked trying to think of a response. “He is new… but he isn’t mine. I’m just… taking care of him for a week until my friend returns.”“That’s so nice of you! You must really like dogs then!” Uryuu simply smiled in response. The couple’s dogs had come around to investigate the new dog as well. Ichigo looked at them warily as they sniffed at him. Uryuu’s eyes widened as he felt the increase in Ichigo’s reiatsu. “I… ah don’t think he likes that very much. He stills needs to get used to others. I think.”“That’s fine,” the man spoke this time calling his dogs away. “They are pretty shy when they’re young sometimes.”Uryuu smiled at both of them and nodded briefly before walking away. Ichigo stayed right beside him.“Ichigo,” he sighed kneeling and running a hand over the rough fur on the puppy’s back. “We can’t have you going into attack mode over a couple of dogs. Are you even aware of how much your reiatsu flared up just then? You’d attract a Menos like that.”Uryuu was stroking the softer fun on the puppy’s forehead now and Ichigo lifted his head to lick the long fingers. The Quincy didn’t move his hand away and Ichigo nuzzled into it. “So have you calmed down now?” Uryuu asked quietly before standing again. “Come on. We’ll go for a long walk in the trees where no one else is.”Wagging his tail. Ichigo followed him to the small clump of trees near the park. There weren’t very many trees where the children played but if they walked further from the park and towards the wilder part with the long grass an tree branches reaching out from every angle it provided some privacy that they had come to appreciate months ago.“Well. I guess you’re being pretty good now. As long as you don’t attack anyone or draw any Hollows nearby. Maybe I’ll get you a chew-toy on the way home. What do you think?”Uryuu looked at the puppy as though he were expecting an answer. Ichigo looked back at him and gave him a canine grin his tongue hanging out from the side of his mouth. Uryuu smiled shaking his head.“You’re right. I shouldn’t buy you something that would just make you even more aggressive. I’ll just get you a ball to play with. Jingly or squeaky?”Ichigo barked in response and Uryuu laughed. He wasn’t sure if he was laughing at the puppy or at the fact that he was having a one-sided conversation with a dog. Regardless he nodded.“Squeaky it is. Thought you might pick that.”
The rest of the walk had gone smoothly. Except for when they had come across a gathering of birds in a small clearing and Ichigo had run through them barking and snapping. He had returned to Uryuu’s side once they had scattered his ears and tail down as he waited to be scolded.“That was… odd,” Uryuu finally commented after staring at the puppy in wonder for a long moment. “Maybe the amount of control you have over your actions is a reflection of how much self-control you have? I have a lot so I didn’t end up doing too many cat-things… I don’t think. But you can hardly control your instincts when you’re human. I bet you can’t do very much about it. I bet you’d get excited if I said something a dog would react happily to… like food!” Ichigo barked excitedly and Uryuu watched him in amusement.“Hm maybe that doesn’t count. You do get pretty excited over food anyway.”Suddenly. Ichigo jumped on him. The action took Uryuu by surprise and he bent over in an attempt to regain his balance. Ichigo was looking directly into his eyes and Uryuu started back in surprise. He wondered if all dogs were this easy to understand or if it was just because Ichigo wasn’t usually a dog. He buried his face in Ichigo’s fur and stroked his back. “Yeah. I know. I love you too.”Ichigo licked his cheek and he straightened up again with a faint blush. “Okay come on. We’ll buy you that ball now.”On the way home. Uryuu decided that he regretted the idea of letting Ichigo play with the ball as they walked. Had Uryuu not possessed the reflexes to let him pick the puppy up in time. Ichigo would have been run over. At least five times. The ball had managed to remain unscathed other than the teeth marks and drool that already covered it. Uryuu refused to touch it letting Ichigo pick it up himself after the cars had passed. He was carrying a bag of dog biscuits a few cans of dog food and a cheap food bowl. He was sure that Ichigo would want food as soon as they returned home and it was already getting dark. He decided that he would start cooking his own dinner as well. It felt oddly empty without having Ichigo in his human form keeping him company and spontaneously deciding for them to do things. Uryuu found that he couldn’t remember how he passed his weekends alone before Ichigo started spending time with him. It embarrassed him to think that he had already become so dependent on Ichigo’s presence and he quickly decided that he was going to spend the rest of the night working on any sewing projects that he had left unfinished. Once they had reached Uryuu’s flat the puppy was fed and almost immediately fell asleep. Uryuu made his own dinner and spent the rest of the night sewing. Half-way through. Ichigo woke up and moved to the floor beside Uryuu to keep him company. The puppy watched him for a while before falling asleep again. Blinking heavy eyelids. Uryuu stretched. “I think you might just be onto something pup. Bed time it is.”He noticed as he walked past the clock that it was still two hours earlier than he’d usually go to bed. It meant nothing he decided as he collapsed in bed his eyes immediately shutting and his entire body sighing in relief. It was just hard to keep up with a hyperactive puppy. Uryuu slept in the next day which Ichigo did not appreciate. The puppy made this clear with all of the whining as he pawed at the pillow. It took a while for Uryuu to force himself out of bed but Ichigo wasn’t happy until he was taken for a walk. The day passed slowly which Uryuu was quite grateful for. He wasn’t sure if he would be able to survive an entire week of running around after the dog. Ichigo seemed to have tired himself out from the previous day as well and spent most of the day napping. Uryuu watched on in jealousy wishing he could nap as much instead of having to study cook and clean. The flat was oddly quiet without Ichigo’s human form and Uryuu caught himself thinking of the redhead’s voice several times during the day. It was already afternoon when Uryuu finished his chores and had settled down in the sofa to rest. The puppy wandered over licking his hand and nuzzling against it. Uryuu turned to him and smiled.“I envy you for being able to sleep so much. Maybe I should just spend half my time asleep when you turn back into a human. That would be fair don’t you think?”Ichigo whined in protest nibbling on Uryuu’s fingers. Pulling his hand away the Quincy fixed him with a stern glare that would have scared Ichigo in his human form but it wavered a couple of seconds later after staring into the wide puppy eyes. “Want to go out for a walk again?” Uryuu murmured sitting up properly and scratching under the puppy’s chin. “You’re too restless for your own good. Fine let’s go. Short walk though.”The puppy bounded to the door its tail wagging rapidly. As soon as Uryuu opened the door he ran outside jumping down the stairs.“Hey! I told you yesterday that it was a bad idea to do that!” Uryuu called running after the dog. When he got outside he found that unlike yesterday. Ichigo wasn’t waiting for him. Swearing under his breath. Uryuu summoned Ichigo’s reiraku and followed that looking around as he ran in the direction the red spirit thread led him in. He finally slowed down when he saw Ichigo – but his heart skipped a beat when he saw the large dog that was growling at the puppy and then resumed thudding against his ribcage and twice the normal speed when he sensed the increase in reiatsu.“Ichigo… stop that right now. Come here.” The puppy glanced in his direction and made a small movement only to be cut off by the larger dog. Clenching his teeth. Uryuu looked around. There was no one else on the street. He couldn’t tell if the dog had an owner or was a stray and didn’t know if there was anyone coming after it. “Ichigo…” he tried again taking a step towards the dogs. This time the large dog turned to Uryuu growling. The Quincy slowed down about to use Hirenkyaku get Ichigo and get the hell out of there. He froze in the last minute as Ichigo snarled at the dog taking a couple of steps closer. “Don’t do that,” Uryuu said to the puppy not breaking eye contact with the large dog. He couldn’t see a collar and it had an untidy look to it that told him that it was a stray. Its head came to his hips and it had the gangly look of an undernourished animal with a wild look in its eyes. Ichigo barked and Uryuu looked away from the stray. The stray also turned to Ichigo baring its teeth. “Ichigo,” Uryuu’s voice was quiet and even. “Stay still. Don’t do anything stupid. And for fuck’s sake try controlling your reiatsu.”The puppy didn’t look as though it was about to back down from a fight though. Uryuu sighed trying to figure out how he was going to calm Ichigo down – and a second later realised he didn’t have the time to worry about it because he could sense a cluster of Hollows not too far off from where they were. “We don’t have the time to be territorial,” Uryuu called side-stepping the stray picking Ichigo up and getting home with Hirenkyaku. “You. Stay here,” he growled putting Ichigo down on the floor of his flat. “I have Hollows to take care of thanks to your lack of self-control. I’m locking the door but I still don’t trust you to keep yourself out of trouble. Sit and stay until I get back.”Without giving Ichigo time to process everything he pocketed his keys locked the door and shut it behind him.
Taking out Hollows did wonders for Uryuu’s stress. There were seven Hollows all drawn out by Ichigo’s unusually high reiatsu all taken care of in no more than three minutes. He took the long way home checking on Orihime and Sado. They were both still at home having decided not to take action once the Hollows had disappeared. But Uryuu knew there would be questions waiting for Ichigo the next day at school – questions that had to go unanswered for a week or would require Uryuu to come up with an explanation. Training he decided. That would be his lie for the week. Ichigo was definitely prone to shirking all other responsibility to spend days training. It was believable. Definitely more so than the explanation that Ichigo was actually stuck as a dog for a week and was staying with Uryuu until Urahara came up with an antidote. As he climbed the stairs of his building. Uryuu wondered if Urahara really needed a week. Maybe all it took was a couple of hours but he delayed it for a week just so he could have a good laugh. Opening the door to his flat he walked in and swore. Loudly. Urahara must definitely be having a laugh. In the middle of the lounge room the puppy was wrestling with some fabric. Shredded fabric. It looked somewhat like the shirt Uryuu had left on his bed. His favourite shirt. “Y-you…” Uryuu didn’t quite know what to say. The only thing that came to mind is even more swearing. And he wished that Ichigo was in human form just so that Uryuu could punch him. But he wasn’t. He was a dog and as was evident from the look in the large brown eyes didn’t have very much control over himself. Uryuu simply sunk to the floor and spoke in a hollow disbelieving voice. “I… guess you had to take out all of that aggression on something.”He ran a hand through his hair with a sigh and Ichigo whimpered. It was a terrible sound that made the Quincy shudder. It sounded as though Ichigo was in physical pain and Uryuu reached out to place his hand on the puppy’s head to quieten him. Ichigo whined quietly before crawling closer hiding his face against Uryuu’s chest. “It’s fine it’s fine,” Uryuu muttered to both of them as he stroked down the puppy’s back. “You just owe me a new shirt that’s all. Nothing major. Would you like to play with your ball?”The puppy’s ears immediately perked up and he ran to the corner to find his ball. Uryuu picked up the torn pieces of his shirt and put them in a pile not quite wanting to throw it out and smiled at Ichigo as he retrieved the ball chewing on it and making it squeak.“You’re quite lucky that you’re a dog you know,” Uryuu mused rolling the ball across the floor and watching the puppy chase it. “You’re too cute to get in trouble this way.”
The week passed slowly. The day started with Ichigo waking Uryuu at dawn going for a walk and being fed before Uryuu got ready for school. Ichigo was left inside while Uryuu was at school – with all clothes and other pieces of material carefully stored in closets – and was let outside when Uryuu made quick trips home during lunch break to check on him. Uryuu took him for another walk after coming home fed him again and studied and cooked while Ichigo napped. The puppy insisted on playing with the squeaky ball after waking up and watched Uryuu sew or read until they went to sleep. Orihime and Sado were easily convinced that Ichigo was off training somewhere. Uryuu knew that his ability to sense reiatsu was better than theirs. He was the only one who could tell the exact location of the reiatsu so they didn’t realise that Ichigo’s reiatsu was actually coming from Uryuu’s own flat. When Friday came around. Uryuu was impatiently looking around hoping to catch a glimpse of Urahara somewhere to let him know that the antidote was complete. He was restless all day not paying complete attention in class and looking out of the window. If anyone else had picked up on it they didn’t comment or he didn’t notice. At the end of the day he was the first to leave the classroom eager to have Ichigo back in human form. He stopped at his locker putting a book away when he found a note taped to the inside of the door. It was from Urahara asking him to stop by at the shop on his way home. With his impatience and Hirenkyaku combined he was there in less than a minute. “Ishida-san welcome! You certainly seem eager to be here,” Urahara greeted with a smile. “Urahara-san,” he greeted with a brief nod. “You have the antidote then?”“Right here,” Urahara showed him a vial of liquid that looked very similar to the one he remembered changing him back into a human from a cat. “I also… have something I would like you to give Kurosaki-san once he changes back. I’m sure he’ll know what it’s for.”Uryuu eyed the unlabeled bottle of clear liquid carefully and nodded slowly after deciding not to ask.“I’ll give you the antidote free of charge because I’m generous like that,” the shopkeeper said cheerily. “And Kurosaki-san has already paid for this one so you can take it too.”“Thank you,” Uryuu replied in a flat voice putting both in his bag and leaving. Ichigo greeted him enthusiastically when he arrived home clearly eager to be human again. Uryuu gave him a few pats before pouring the contents of the vial into the dog bowl and placing it on the floor of his room. He knew from experience that the transformation back to human was painful and would take a while. He occupied himself by examining the contents of the larger bottle. Turning it over in his hands he decided that it didn’t look dangerous. But knowing Urahara that meant nothing. He wondered what it could be for Ichigo to actually buy it from the strange store. His musings were interrupted as the door opened slowly. He turned relief rising in his chest as his gaze settled on Ichigo. “Hey,” he greeted with a grin. He walked closer to Uryuu placing a hand on his hip. “Miss me?”“Not at all,” Uryuu lied with a smile and held the bottle up between them. “What’s this?”“I’ll tell you later,” he murmured taking it out of the Quincy’s hand placing it on the table nearby. Burying his face against Uryuu’s neck. Ichigo inhaled and sighed. “Fuck you smell good. Can’t believe I had to be a dog to realise it.” Uryuu hummed happily as Ichigo kissed his neck then his lips. “You taste good too,” the redhead informed him running his tongue along Uryuu’s jaw. “I missed you. Even when you were right there.”“Missed you too,” Uryuu admitted against Ichigo’s lips. “Especially when you were right there in dog form.”They kissed again and again until their bodies were rocking against each other and Ichigo was panting against the other boy’s ear.“Uryuu,” he murmured in a low lust-filled voice. “We haven’t had sex in a week. I think we should fix that right away.”Moaning in response. Uryuu held onto Ichigo’s hips to hold him still. “N-not until you tell me what the hell that bottle is.”Ichigo gave him a wicked grin. “I was hoping you’d say that.” “What? Why—?” Uryuu looked confused as Ichigo picked up the bottle and all but dragged him to the bedroom. “Ichigo? What’s going on?”“This stuff?” Ichigo murmured holding the bottle up as he pinned Uryuu down on the bed. His grin widened and he licked his lips. “Is going to make you come hard over and over…”“What is it?” the Quincy demanded eyeing it mistrustfully.“Massage oil,” Ichigo replied simply straddling Uryuu. He smirked. “Really good massage oil.”“Massage oil…?” Uryuu repeated raising his eyebrow. “You went all the way to Urahara Shouten to buy massage oil?”“Disappointed?” the redhead smirked. “Not something dangerous you can yell at me for.”“Relieved,” Uryuu corrected and pulled Ichigo down for a long kiss. They started grinding against each other and quickly pulled each other’s shirts off. Leaning over him. Ichigo took one of Uryuu’s nipples into his mouth and sucked. The Quincy moaned arching and burying his fingers in Ichigo’s hair. They struggled out of their pants discarding them on the floor before their lips met in a rough kiss. Ichigo pinned the other boy against the bed again and reached for the bottle of massage oil. Uryuu watched him as he unscrewed the lid.“You remember a week ago?” Ichigo murmured his eyes on the bottle and his own hands. “Before school. I asked if you’d like a massage. I was intending to give you one when we got home but then I ended up going out with my friends instead. I was with them for a few hours. Ate watched a movie hung out. Then I went to Urahara’s place to get this.”Rubbing the oil over his hands. Ichigo gave Uryuu another wicked grin. “But… you know. Anything you can get from that place isn’t normal.”Uryuu watched his mouth slightly opened as Ichigo poured some oil on his chest. It was cool but not uncomfortable. It ran along the dips of his muscles and down to his belly before Ichigo placed his hands against the Quincy’s skin. And when he did. Uryuu felt a rush of something alien something strong flowing into his body dancing across his skin like small sparks that he could feel but not see and a strong jolt of pleasure that went directly to his groin. “Fuck,” he moaned and squirmed under Ichigo’s hands. The redhead moved his hands away and Uryuu suddenly felt as though he was missing something. “This stuff,” Ichigo explained between kisses. “Kind of ups my reiatsu a bit. Not enough for you to sense though. It makes it easier for me to use reiatsu already inside me. And I can control it better so I can make it flow right into you. I know how much my reiatsu gets you off.”Uryuu laughed sounding dazed. “Amazing. Urahara-san finally comes up with a way to make you control your reiatsu – and uses it for sex.” “Are you complaining?” Ichigo murmured massaging Uryuu’s chest. The sudden rush of what Uryuu could now identify as reiatsu was back and his cock twitched as his body happily accepted it. “How quickly do you think I can make you come?” the Vaizard asked with a grin. The Quincy looked as though he was about to retort and Ichigo rubbed harder increasing the flow of reiatsu. Uryuu’s head fell back onto his pillow and he gasped. “Ahhh… feels so good.”“Haven’t even gotten started yet,” Ichigo replied leaning over to kiss Uryuu. In response the Quincy reached around to hold Ichigo close rocking their hips together. “More. Ichigo,” the dark-haired boy urged his hold on the Vaizard tightening.“You’re not going to last very long at this rate,” Ichigo murmured with a smile sliding his hands down from Uryuu’s chest to his hips. The sudden shift in the position of Ichigo’s hands sent a particularly strong jolt of pleasure through Uryuu’s body and he cried out as he released. From the look in the Vaizard’s eyes and his own half-hard cock. Uryuu could tell that they were nowhere near being finished. Not yet.“How about I massage your back?” Ichigo offered. It sounded innocent enough if Uryuu ignored the fact that he had just orgasmed from what was mainly skin-on-skin contact with the other boy. He rolled over eagerly. He heard Ichigo chuckle as he unscrewed the lid of the bottle again. He hissed as he felt the oil being poured down his back and then purred when Ichigo’s fingers were pressed firmly down his back. Ichigo was not by any stretch a professional masseuse. But he had spent enough time getting to know Uryuu’s body to know what the Quincy liked. It would have been an enjoyable massage even without the somewhat creepy but thoroughly orgasmic oil. Uryuu decided. The oil just made everything better. “You’re so very tense,” Ichigo murmured and Uryuu could hear the grin in his voice. “At this rate. I may be here all night.”Uryuu groaned half of him loving the idea of the other boy’s large rough hands and the oil while the other half of him knew that he would go insane from that much pleasure. “Ichigo…” he whimpered lifting himself up onto knees and elbows one hand reaching towards his now fully erect cock. Catching his hand the redhead pulled the other boy up so that he was sitting between the Vaizard’s legs. Uryuu’s back against Ichigo’s chest. “You enjoying that. Uryuu?” Ichigo murmured placing kisses along the Quincy’s shoulder and up his neck. “Just listen to you groan… fuck and I haven’t even touched your cock yet.”Biting down into Uryuu’s shoulder. Ichigo wrapped his right hand around the other’s erection. Uryuu threw his head back with a scream of pure pleasure his body leaning back against Ichigo’s as the Vaizard stroked and massaged with both hands. Their sweat-covered bodies slid against each other as Uryuu’s hips jerked erratically and Ichigo finally let go of the other boy’s cock to still him. “As fun as it is driving you insane like this. I wouldn’t mind some pleasure myself. I’m going to screw you hard with this oil and have you come so hard that you’ll be too tired to move for the rest of the day. Got that?”Uryuu couldn’t reply slumping against Ichigo. His eyes were closed as he panted. He swore as Ichigo began stroking his cock again his moans getting louder until he released for the second time. Ichigo smirked licking his lips as Uryuu collapsed on the bed before rolling over onto his back. Capturing the Quincy’s lips in a rough kiss. Ichigo then lapped at the dip in the other boy’s collarbone.“You think you could handle one more?” Ichigo murmured and Uryuu mumbled something that sounded like hell yes. They kissed again before Ichigo rubbed more of the oil onto his hands. “I’ll keep my reiatsu as low as possible,” he said not looking away from Uryuu’s face. “So we last for as long as we can.”He kept his promise and Uryuu’s body didn’t respond as strongly as it did before when Ichigo touched him. There was still enough pleasure to distract him from the discomfort of being prepared. And then. Ichigo was inside him and the reiatsu went up again and this he decided was what it meant to be fucked senseless. He didn’t bother trying to be quiet and neither did Ichigo. Moaning each other’s names they thrust against each other until Ichigo released making the reiatsu hike up even more until Uryuu came harder than the previous two times. They collapsed on the bed beside each other and Ichigo wiped the oil off his hands. He touched Uryuu’s face clearly happy to be able to do so without overstimulating his lover. They kissed too tired to move their tongues and simply pressing their lips together for a long moment and Ichigo grinned wrapping his arms around Uryuu.“Perverted creepy bastard he is. Urahara’s actually good for some things.”“Mmm,” Uryuu managed a sleepy response. “You still owe me a shirt.”And for those who were wonder this is what Ichipup looked like: Don't you just want to take him home? <3
